Program Outline

Nothing is more frustrating for employees than a ‘leader’ who doesn’t lead by example and can’t properly communicate their vision. People aren’t productive or motivated when they don’t see the logic or reasoning behind a specific directive. If your leaders can’t outline and explain the basic notions of their plan, they’ll have an extremely hard time getting employees on board with their goals and expectations.

Leaders like Richard Branson, who might appear unconventional on the surface, are masters at defining a laser-focused strategy and presenting it to their companies in such a way that employees are not only on board, but enthusiastic and anxious to get started. The key to effective strategic leadership rests on a leader’s ability to clarify why his or her company exists, where it currently stands and ultimately, execute on a plan to get it where it needs to be.

LMI’s seven-phase Effective Strategic Leadership program is designed to help leaders create and implement strategies to improve their organizations.



Like all of our developmental programs, your road to more effective strategic leadership begins with an introduction to the basic concepts of the LMI Process and our developmental approach. Your complete buy-in to the notions of multi-sensory learning, spaced repetition and the power of goal setting is vital to successfully completing the program. Additionally, our personal and job related goal planning sheets and goal tracking systems will ensure that you always know where you stand and how much you’re improving.

The specifics of the Effective Strategic Leadership program involve teaching you the need for, and purpose of, an organizational strategy, and the best practices for developing an effective strategy that employees can relate to and envision. To develop an effective strategy, you must first understand your strategic purpose. Then, through a strategic assessment, you’ll gain an understanding of where your organization currently stands and can identify specific goals. Once you have strategic goals defined, you can build your total strategy map and, eventually, make your strategy happen by building a management system and achieving ownership of goals.
